Chris Edwards – 2010 Edit from Stefan Brandow on Vimeo.

The Airman. The Goldenboy. The OG.

If you own a pair of rollerblades, you should know who Chris Edwards is. If you don’t know about the Airman, you need to. Chris invented a lot of the first tricks in our sport, was the first person to ever grind a rail on rollerblades, had the first ever pro model skate from a rollerblading company, and was a stuntman in the movies Airborne, Batman & Robin, The Mighty Ducks, and Prayer of the Rollerboys. He also helped create the first rollerblading video game, Aggressive Inline.

I had the pleasure to work for Chris and blade with him quite often while living in Pittsburgh. He still shreds hard as ever when he gets the chance. Chris continues to be a positive part of our scene, teaching new kids how to blade and inspiring old ones to keep blades on their feet. His accomplishments and legend should never be forgotten.

Cody Boulay from Detroit, MI was on a family vacation in New Hampshire and decided to stop back in Pittsburgh for a day to skate. He ended up spending the night and skating the whole next day and destroyed everything we took him to.
